Before and after

When we first moved into our new home, our two children took up residence in the upstairs bedrooms.   Upon our son's impending marriage, he moved into his own place and vacated one of the rooms.

This is what the room looked like when we toured the home before purchase.

When our son moved all of his furniture out, the room was perfect for my sewing area.

As things would happen, we had a family come to stay with us for a couple of weeks.  The adults stayed in our guest room, but we needed a place for the children to bed down.  So the sewing room became a dorm room for three cute and lovable girls.

Moving things around was not too  much trouble, and we were glad to be able to give them each a blow up mattress.

Here they are, heading out for their return trip to South Africa.

So life has been quiet and my sewing room is back into operation. Well it will be after this weekend when the above mentioned son is getting married.

Happy Quilting.

Your son is getting married this week, mine is getting married in May. We both took over their old rooms for our quilt rooms. Praying for a long, happy marriage for your son.

My sewing room is also one of our guest rooms. Someday I'll be able to have a sewing room that I don't have to "tear down" when we have company. I know you'll enjoy having your sewing room all to yourself!
