A Birthday giveaway!

Happy Birthday to me......

Yep today is the day :-)  And it's an unusual one, with the stay at home order by our state. So instead of getting gifts today, I want to give.

Everyone loves Jenny Doan. My first giveaway will be four copies of Block magazine.

I am not an applique quilter, but for some reason I ended up with a couple of patterns. So I'd like to give them to one of you who does.

I'm throwing in a couple of fat quarters to get you started. And maybe a few more little surprises with it :-)

So here is the deal. This will be a quick giveaway. Over the weekend, being that we are supposed to be staying at home. This is for US readers (sorry, but postage is a killer). Leave a comment on this post telling me which prize you would like, and be sure I have a way I can reach you. Please tell me what was the best Birthday gift you ever received. I will randomly choose two winners on Monday April 6. If I am unable to reach you I will choose another winner.

We are all hunkering down to stop this dreaded virus. So please do your part. Sew, quilt, read, clean out the closets... whatever pastime you enjoy. I'd like to leave you with a word from the Scriptures.

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

Happy Quilting!

Happy Birthday!! Thanks for a great give a way too! If I win, I'll be glad to pay the postage. I send boxes to California once a month to my great grands and boy, THAT gets expensive but so worth watching them open the boxes.

I would love the block books. I am kicking around subscribing to them after we move west.

Stay well and safe.
xx, Carol

Happy, happy birthday to you! This is surely one you'll never forget! My husband celebrated his birthday on Tuesday and we had a virtual meal with the kids. Everyone was on Zoom and eating/conversing as if we were together! So weird. My best birthday gift ever was my husband! I met him on my 19th birthday...almost 40 years ago! I'd be interested in the Block magazine(s).
Enjoy your day...make it special!

Happy Birthday! And thanks for the giveaway too. I'd love to win the Block magazines. I don't really get birthday gifts, so I'd have to say the best thing I could get on my birthday is time with my family. Thanks and have a great day! :0)

Happy Birthday!
I do love Jenny Doan! Several years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Missouri Star Quilt Company. My daughter and I had a great time going from shop to shop. The Block magazines would be a great gift for me.
My best birthday gift ever was finding out that I was going to be a grandma for the first time from my daughter and son-in-law. Then a week later my son and daughter-in-law let me know that they were expecting my second grandchild.

Happy Birthday to you. Your question of "best birthday present" quickly brought back a wonderful memory. Many, many, many years ago I mother took me out to a movie theatre to watch "Back To The Future" together. As she is no longer here, that movie date was truly the best birthday gift ever.

Happy birthday! I'm always game for happy mail, so count me in. The gals in our quilt ministry love Missouri Star, so I'd choose the magazines to share with them. Thanks for offering these sweet gifts. Stay safe and keep wearing the mask even if others around you aren't (I was the only one in our local supermarket yesterday wearing one).

Happy Birthday to you! My best birthday was two years ago when my 7 year old niece baked me a fabulous chocolate cake from a recipe she used in a bakery cake making camp. It was totally the best cake ever. I love looking at the pictures of her hand-mixing the batter! I love applique--those patterns look intriguing to me!

Have a very wonderful weekend! I hope you have a wonderful cake too!

I love those applique patterns! Besy Birthday gift ever -- when my daughter was seven, she made me a red corduroy pincushion with lace trim - so wonky but the look on her sweet face when I opened the package is with me still - as is the pincushion made with so much love over 50 years ago

Thank you for the giveaway and a big happy birthday to you. I would love to win the Block magazines.
My favorite birthday present would have to be the Davy Crockett jacket and party when I was young. It has been a lifetime of funny stories remembered by my whole family. lol

A little behind in my blog reading. A belated Happy Birthday, Jocelyn!
One of my grandsons was born a day before my birthday. Not a bad gift, eh!? (I have a New Jersey mailing address.) Enjoy the week!
