New Beginning

Okay, so what have you been up to this weekend?? My son took his ACT test on Saturday, which marks the end of our school year. And even more then that, the end of MY school years! Yep I am retiring. ho,ho, after 24 years of homeschooling my sweet children, we are all done!!!!! Woo-Hoo!!! Let's celebrate!

What should we do? Okay, let's have a giveaway. I was going to have a giveaway for my blogiversary, but it slipped by and then there was Sew Mama Sew, and the incredible Bloggers Quilt festival. But I think this will be a better way to celebrate two important events. The graduation of my youngest and a New Beginning as we move into a new house!

So starting tomorrow, let's have a New Beginning giveaway. It will run for 5 days (not including Sunday), ending on Monday June 21st. You see that is the day we close on our new house. And I want everyone to celebrate with me. Are you game?? Check back tomorrow :-)

Oh how exciting! Congratulations on getting all of your children successfully through school, that you will now have lots more time for quilting, and for moving into a new home. You do have a lot to celebrate!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Wow! Good for you...and to think I have one in 4th grade and one in 2nd! I have a long way to go, don't I? You deserve to be glad. Now you can have more time (in theory, at least) to pursue other things. ; )

Those who homeschool are incredibly amazing to me. The patience you must have and to be able to keep your own child focused...or yourself. Wow! Congrats on both accounts and I'll look for you post tomorrow. OH...how far away are you moving?

Congrats on your double graduation! That is sooo exciting. I still have one caboose left and this next year will be our last year in elementary school. I'm cherishing every moment with her. The next child up will be graduating from college this next year.

Wow, congratulations! And I thought I had a lot of years experience with 10 years of homeschooling! I know how excited I am when school is out and summer vacation begins. I think I need it more than the kids! Well, I've got about 16 more years to go, but as I always say about homeschooling, I take it one day at a time!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I have loved the hospitality of the tea party Tuesdays. So many warm, welcoming gals.

I, too, am completing my homeschooling journey this summer...for a time anyway. We are planning to adopt (we've had a slight setback on that), so even though my son will finish up high school in August (we school November through August), my homeschooling journey won't be ending for good anytime soon. I've only been at it for 11 years, a drop in the bucket compared to your journey.

Blessings,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)
