There's always a way

Don't you love it when someone repurposes furniture? I love seeing all the ways people are using dressers, kitchen islands, night stands....... and on it goes.

Last week I read Sue Bleiweiss' blog and she showed a great kitchen island that she is using for an ironing station.

And a few days before that I've seen an antique Buffet revamped to be a kitchen island!!!

Okay so what is the point?? At our old house we had a rolling cart that was used in our kitchen until we bought new kitchen furniture and it did not fit in the space anymore. When we moved last summer, I kept trying to figure out how I could use the cart. No place in the kitchen or eat in dining.

And then it hit me! I needed some way to watch DVD's of free motion quilting while I practice. So wha-la!!!

The cart fits perfectly in the little space.

And the very best part is...............

my sweet hubby made this little beauty :-) He's a genius ;-D

Happy Quilting!

The cart your husband made is gorgeous! I'm glad you could repurpose it.

I use a kitchen island for a cutting table. I'm a bit taller at 5'9'' and my back doesn't hurt anymore.

Good reuse of a honey-made cart! I like it! It is a good fit, too.

Great rolling cart! Was meant to be there!

I noticed it the other day; what a great way to repurpose. I would really like to have a tv to play those videos... but maybe someday!

Yep, nothing more fun than re-purposing. Your cart is a great choice for your sewing room. Kudos for your quilting skill practice. I have a couple of friends that have worked at it and I am so impressed. I love there quilts with their own free hand quilting on it.
