What do you do

on a cold wet Saturday?

I've been working on organizing my fabric stash.

My sweet hubby set up the old TV in my sewing room so I can watch Patsy Thompson DVD's.

And then it's time to take a few minutes to sip on a hot cup of tea and enjoy a new magazine and a new book!

What are you up to this weekend??

I'm doing the same as you. Sewing, sewing and a little TV. And watching it SNOW again all day long. Hugs

I am on quilt retreat this weekend!I think I overestimated the amount I would get done or else I'm sewing slow LOL! I could get more done if people would just stop talking to me LOL! I have an extra TV..NEVER thought of putting it in the sewing room to watch tapes etc. I will be doing that when I go home!

I've been sewing blocks together today and will put the first of two borders on tomorrow. Took some time off to make a couple of mug rugs, which are cool b/c you have a quick "finish"... Need to organize my stash some day...

Looks like Patsy Thompson is going to be right in the room with you. Great organized fabric too.
I will be finishing (I hope) off some alternating blocks for a quilt.
Have a great weekend!♥

I am crocheting on the never ending tablecloth - while on my quilt vacation, that is, a vacation from quilts and quilting.

Girl, I spent ALL last weekend "taming" my stash!!! But, it was worth it -- it all looks so nice and makes me feel good. I ordered some 'comic book boards' from Amazon and folded all my yardage around them like mini-bolts. It looks great. You can see a pic on my blog.

Enjoy your weekend.

I have been working on doing some blanket stitching on some parts of the quilt top that I basted this week and got on the Internet and ordered some Cosmos embroidery thread this afternoon---and now I am watching it snow--in the dark--it always snows the prettiest after dark here in NY for some reason!!!!
love the new ordered look--
way to go---hugs, Di

That sounds so fun! I like to watch Lucy in my sewing room, lol. I finally got my tutorial up - between that and watching the snow, that's all I'm doing!

Actually, I started organizing my closet also today. I am getting rid of things I know I will never use.
I'm also sewing my batik quilt and knitting whenever my husband sits down and reads to me.We are reading an Anthony Trollope book. They are good reading.
Thanks for you comment on my blog.
Are you in the northwest also? Rain. not snow like everyone else.

Sewing and celebrating my fil's 82nd bday!

It was supposed to be a sewing weekend since my husband was camping, but I wound up dragging my machine in for service instead. The worst part? It didn't need service - I made a rookie mistake and grabbed the wrong bobbin! Doh!

I have DVD's of old tv shows going while I sew...mostly Murder She Wrote, and Columbo. I've seem all of them a million times, so it's just nice to have it going, but I don't really have to watch. I also like that there's no swearing, or skanky whores to deal with....there is nothing good on tv anymore!

I never thought to get sewing shows...guess I'll need to see about getting some of those! Cool!

Sounds like a perfect weekend! I'm sewing in between laundry. LOL Not too glamorous, but I am getting a bit done. Have a happy weekend!

You certainly have a lo of fabric stashed. That will take awhile to rearrange. I enjoy anything that has to do with quilts.

Sounds like a great weekend to me. I wanted to stay home today but the girls all had this surprise planned for us. It was worth it though.

Organizing and fondling your fabric is a very good thing to do on a rainy Saturday.

I spent the day with my daughter and her delightful family. We had a great day celebrating my grandson's birthday (14 on Monday) :-)
