Singer 160th Anniversary

The Singer website takes the serial number from your pre-1970 Singer Machines and produces a certificate for you to print. Your Singer sewing machine has a story to tell!

Here's my little gal

and she was born in 1940! And you can find MY story HERE.

Go HERE to share your Singer story and download your certificate :-)

I've sent the link to your blog to my youngest sister who has my mother's early 1930s Singer! Thanks for sharing this info!

My hubby is an inveterate antiquer, and picked up my FW a few years go. He gave her to me as an anniversary present. She's a centennial (1955), and my baby. I am going to check out that link.

Wow. Got my certificate and have done a post on my own blog directing others to the SInger site. I gave you credit, of course, for pointing the way! Thank you so much.

BTW, I wrong about Baby -- she was actually born in 1951, not '55. You can see a picture of her on my blog.

Thank you so much for the info about this. My FW was my grandmother's. She bought it new but she couldn't remember when. I now know that she got it in 1946. . .the year my mother was born. I guess that's why she needed a new machine, lot's of baby garmets to sew.

Again, thanks so much.

This is such great info. I have a Featherweight that I rescued from a junk yard for $5. My Singer repair man couldn't believe the junk man was so dumb!

This is so cool. I knew about finding out the year of my Featherweight from the SN, but didn't know I could print out a certificate. That would make a neat additional to my sewing room. Thanks so much for sharing!
