Helpful hint

Hi all. Back again to share another hopefully helpful hint.

With the spread of the corona virus, we are being extra careful about washing our hands, and using hand sanitizer. But have you considered those who don't take that much care, and handle things we might likely consume. Or perhaps a child picks up an apple after rubbing his nose.

Ok, so here is the thing. Years ago there was a vegetable wash that you could spray on your veggies to remove wax, pesticides and eliminate bacteria that may have been left on your tomatoes or other fresh veggies. There is a recipe to make  you own wash, for fruits and veggies, and another for leafy greens.

So here are a couple of links

I use Dawn on my veggies before I eat them. I also wash the tops of all the canned goods, since you don't know what has crawled across them while they were in a warehouse.
