The Happy Camper

The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson was such a delightful story. I was first drawn to it because we have a camper, and I thought it would be a fun read. And it was.

Dillon Michael's heads home after losing her job and breaking up with her boyfriend. Much to her dismay she finds her mother has moved in to help Grandpa on his farm. Left to sleep on the bumpy sofa, tension races between Dillon and Margot. But Grandpa has a surprise for her. Behind the barn is an old camper. Delighted with the find, Dillon sets out to restore the little camper and move in. It turns out to be her own little dream home.

Jordan Atwood is the helpful hardware store owner. Navigating Dillon around the necessary things she would need to restore her trailer, they strike up a friendship with the camper as the common bond. Jordan is a quiet guy, who had been hurt pretty badly in a relationship. As Dillon tries to figure him out the old boyfriend, Brandon, shows up out of the blue and makes a startling revelation.

The Happy Camper is a charming sweet romance, with lots of ups and downs, humor and finding trust in God.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
