Winter Blues

Yep, we all have them. After the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holidays, the cold sets in and we get the Winter Blues.

I live in the Sunshine State, but we have not had a lot of sunshine nor warmth lately. Which makes me just a tad blue. So can I share some nice warm pictures with you, and we can all sit back with a hot cuppa and dream of the Warm Days ahead :-)

Okay I had to add a picture of a quilt from an outdoor show.

Now take a deep breath, and remember that Spring is just around the corner ;-)

Happy Quilting

Your photos are so inviting...even without the guests...I'm not sure about the mug rug thing...are they like pot holders size only we use them to put our mugs on?
And....where did it start?

We are going to FL for a little bit in the next couple of weeks, so I hope the weather gets a bit more "normal". I'd be happy with daytimes in the solid 60's as long as there was sunshine to go along with it. Your photos are very nice!

Nice pictures! Love the quilt! I'd take a little sunshine right now. We're just at the beginning of a big snowstorm. The kids are even getting out of school an hour early today because of it. Bring on spring!! LOL

Loved the tour of warmer days ahead! It's nice to know we all suffer from time to time with these winter blues. My best fix is to head to Borders Bookstore!

Sort of hard to think about spring right now. 11 degrees with a wind chill of whatever and 7 inches of new snow on the ground. I know how you feel without the sun I am bummed out!

Jocelyn,

Those greens perked me up. It's been bitterly cold where I am at.

Blessings.

Hello there. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I appreciate your visit. I enjoyed all your pictures today as it looks so green, sunny, warm and pretty. The quilt is gorgeous. My neighbour is an avid quilter. I'm not a winter lover and much prefer spring and summer and fall until the leaves drop :-) Take care and drop by again. Blessings to you.
Pam

Jocelyn, I'm so ready for Spring too. But I fear winter is far from being over. Still, I enjoyed your post today very much. Maybe we can cuddle by a fireplace, with a cup of cocoa and a beautiful quilt. Aaah...I'm still dreaming of warmer weather. so much for global warming.

Having lived in the northeast all my life, I am use to the cold and snowy winters (not that I like them) - it's what you get when you live a in a "4-season" area. But I look at it that I have more opportunities to create - for each of the seasons. January is the long winter month and it is almost half over. February is a shorty month - when I get the juices flowing to create for Spring before Spring comes.

Yeah I can dream spring is just around the corner but that corner may not come before May LOL. Thanks for the pictures though :0)

Personally, I've been enjoying the colder temps. Summer will soon be upon us and bad hair days will reign! LOL

We spent a couple years in the panhandle and until we moved back "home", I had forgotten the beauty that is the Sunshine State. We truly are blessed, aren't we?

I really like the pieced sashing on that quilt. As far as spring being "right around the corner," I'll talk to you in April. The "corner" is pretty big here in Utah.

Thanks so much - it's bitter cold here - and you just warmed me up! Looking forward to Spring!
