Spring Flowers

These are some of the spring flowers I have planted in my yard. Flowers bursting with new life. I love to compliment the flowers with fabric from my stash :-)

The breath of spring is never far behind in my fabric garden.

"I never get tired of looking at my fabric. It's like looking at a beautiful garden that never goes to seed."

A Gift

There are so many days when I sit down to write a blog post and I think about you, dear reader. I so appreciate inviting you into my home, and sharing with you. I'm not an exceptional quilter, but I do love playing with fabric and making something that is pretty and sometimes brings a little comfort and joy.

Recently Quiltmaker made me an offer that I could not refuse.

And I thought about YOU. So I would like to gift one of my readers with a one year subscription to Quiltmaker magazine. They have some fun patterns, and Bonnie Hunter is a regular contributor to each edition. Quiltmaker even has a blog called Quilty Pleasures where you can follow along with more insights from their current magazine.

So hey, what do you say?? Can I give you a gift?? Leave a comment on this post by next Sunday, April 15. AND because I ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ my followers, followers can leave a SECOND comment. Please be sure that I have a way to contact you.

Thank you so much for stopping by sharing a little bit of your day with me.

Happy Quilting!

Happy Easter

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world." (John 11:25-27)

"He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said" (Matt. 28:6)

May you rejoice in knowing that the Savior of this world lives.

Wishing you a Blessed Easter.

Pink Strings

My Pink Strings quilt is coming right along. I have finished up these blocks.

I think I just need three more and then I will start sewing the blocks together.

Here is the link for the tutorial at the Craftsy website. It will be listed under the March BOM. The tutorial is made with 6 1/2" blocks but I made mine 8". I did use white muslin for the foundation. I love how it looks with the white strip in the center. I plan to put a small white border around the whole quilt.

This has been so much fun, digging through my scrap fabric, finding material that was used on other projects :-) Sweet happy memories.

How come no one told me

how much fun these are to make!!!

For a long time I've wanted to make these scrappy string blocks. One day I came across a tutorial on Craftsy that got me going. It is so fun to use up all the scraps that have been piling up. I did sign up for the Craftsy subscription, but I have to tell you that I unsubscribed because I started getting a TON of spam!! Now I don't normally get much spam via my email, but this was the only thing different I had signed up for and wowser, did it start coming in droves. So just a little warning..............

Have a Happy Quilting day!
