Keep a watch out

Can you believe it! Can you believe that someone would steal a quilt? And do it right in front of a whole crowd of people, and slither away into the night?

Please go over to Quilting with Kimberly's blog and read about the stolen quilt. Maybe if we pass the word around enough, it will be recovered. She has a picture of the quilt on her blog that was published in her book. So go, and take a look. And then keep an eye out on ebay, etsy, quilt shows, anywhere that someone might try to sell this quilt.

***** If you would like to see other lost or stolen quilts, go to this website lostquilt.com Maybe with all of us looking, we may be able to help recover a quilt that's been missing. *****

Hey Jocelyn,
I know Kimberly personally and I know she was just sick about this....thanks for helping to spread the word! Isn't it unreal that somebody would take it?!! It won't be a hard one to miss if it is out there for sale.

That is so awful! Who knows why someone would steal a quilt. Someone that steals a quilt has a big mental problem. I hope that the quilt will be returned to the rightful owner. It is a nice quilt.

You picked me right out of the crowd on the school picture! Some others picked me too but you were the first one. Would you like a Christmas table topper, horsey one, spring or fall and then I will need so time to make it up for you and get it in the mail! Congrats! Isn't it fun to win something?! I'll need your snail mail addy, just send it to my e-mail address thediz@roadrunner.com

Happy quilting!

Hi Jocelyn, thanks for letting us know about this, I've put Kimberley's post and the photo of her quilt on my blog, the wider we spread this the better. Whoever has it can't possibly enjoy having the quilt.

I can't believe that people would do that but it's not the first time I've heard of it happening. At our Quilt Walk here one year someone stole a quilt right out of the quilt shop!

This just boggles my mind - I can't understand how anyone could possibly steal a quilt! I feel so bad for Kimberly.

Oh no, that's so sad, I've known quilters to be the best people, so generous and kind. This is really a big disappointment. Keeping good thoughts for Kimberly.

That is hard to understand how that could happen. To me quilts are treasure and I would hate to lose any of mine. Thanks for sharing a good point to watch out for.

Thank you SO much for posting this on your blog. You have no idea how much I appreciate it! And thanks so much to your readers who also left comments -- this show of support means more to me than words can express. I'm so grateful to know there are so many kind, concerned quilters out there.

I've been unable to see the quilt as the blog has now photos posted on it.
I had no idea that this happened. Geez, they are usually hanging, usually big, usually heavy to carry, not inconspicuos, unbelievable.
Anyway, I couldn't get the picture to post.
What a society we have heh?
