My New Year has been off to a stumbly start. Going for a regular Doctor check up sent me into a little tailspin.
But on a brighter note, a late Christmas gift was found. I was very delighted to open this Block & Pattern a Day Calendar.
Has anyone used this before? It was fun to open up to today's date.
And what a sweet surprise from Jo over in the UK.
The first person she drew for the SMS giveaway never responded, so she picked my name and sent me her prize -
A charm pack of Arcadia by Moda, a yummy cake bar and a postal card. I actually came across a cute pattern that will work great with this charm pack over at Tea Rose Home. My family has collected post cards from all over the country, and now the world, so this postal card was a wonderful addition to our growing collection. Her little package certainly brightened my day.
I hope that everyone is staying warm. We've had very cold weather here in the south, with no let up in sight. Burrrrr.......... enjoy your quilting days :-)

I gave that calendar as a Secret Sister gift on our retreat in November. I do love that penguin (but then...I am a penguin nut!!!)
Congratulations on your wonderful win..and that caledar is just to die for. I just have to have one for myself..if for no other reason than that chubby sweet little penguin. He's adorable.
Congrats on your win. My daughter gave me one of those calendars last year for Christmas. I just wish I had the time to do them all. Can you imagine ending up with 365 blocks? Heaven. Do you have any postcards from Canada? I can send you one.
Hoping that whatever the Dr. told you stressful is easily fixable.
Jane
I've just got to get this calendar. I had a similar one for scrapbooking, and the information is great.
The calendar looks fun! Did you get my email about the giveaway on my blog - you won! http://cottoncocktails.blogspot.com/
Lovely gifts you got there Jocelyn. I like getting late Christmas present. I was given used quilt blocks calendar. I'm looking forward to using them for my book covers - Take care - Hugs Nat
I just LOVE your quilting calendar.
I'd better love it - DD gave me one for Christmas too.
So now you and I can see the same picture every day this year!!!
Love the calendar! Congratulations on your lovely gifts!
I hope your medical concerns have been resolved.
I bought that calendar but since I have no patience, I paged through the whole thing. Kind of ruins the fun of going day by day, calendar style.
Cute calendar!!
What a nice gift from Jo too...;-)
Hope things settle down soon.
Hugs!
Oh dear that reminds me - I need a 2010 calendar! I hope everything is ok with you.
Great gifts you recieved - enjoy!
What fun to get royal mail! I hope things are better now from the doctor's visit. I love quilt calenders. They are so inspirational. Hugs.
The calendar looks great!! Congrats on the win and I hope you're okay. It's always kind of scary going to the Dr., when you don't know what to expect. Hugs winging their way to you.
I'll have to see if my local quilt shop has this calendar. I have another one, from several years ago, and it features a new block pattern each day. When I received it I thought it would be fun to make each block, every day. Yeah, right! Boy was I dreaming. LOL
I've never seen one of those calendars, so will have to keep track of what you do with yours...I just loved the Royal Mail package...so unique.
And good for you to have been picked. My son is just getting some serious tests done in the next few days...I am going with him for support...hope you are well.
I really hope things are OK with your health . . .
I love those calendars. I have two from year's past, then My Cowboy bought me one that I can keep using over and over every year, and I'm on my third year. I still want to make every block from every one of them! Enjoy it!
I hope your medical issues will be resolved quickly. Those are wonderful packages you recieved!!
Crispy
I hope you are healthy and well.
