It looks like everybody is off to a great start in the New Year. I am so inspired to see beautiful new projects being posted.
Oh and what have I been doing, you ask??
Well it has something to do with lots of containers, and organizing, and storage, and getting the house back to normalcy.
But I did have to make a shopping stop here and there. You know those gift cards just start burning a hole in my wallet. Simple addition is when JoAnn's has a super sale + an additional 20% off my total purchase = great value!
JoAnn's put this great Ott light on sale after Christmas. I was holding on to a 20% off mailer coupon for just the right purchase :-)
And while we are at it, let's warm up the library with Pat Sloan's Fast Forward Quilts.
Someone posted this pattern on their blog, and I fell in love with it.
I thought Welcome to the Neighborhood would be a nice quilt for our new home!
So what have YOU been up to as we start up the New Year!
I hope it is has lots of Happy Quilting ;-D

I have the same Ott Light and love it! There's also an accessory tray that you can get that fits on it-- very handy!
I started the New Year with a BOGO sale at my LQS. Then lots of cleaning up as well. Now it's back to homeschool and work!
Oh how I want an Ott Lite. :)
Oooo I love that pattern too!! I have't been up to much the last few days. Kind of in a holding pattern until I go to town on Friday and get the border fabric for the NYB :0)
Crispy
I like the Ott lites. I have a desk size one that I've used for years.
Looks like you got some nice deals! Love that book!
Looks like you made some great purchases!
Happy New Year Jocelyn. As you know from coming by my blog my new year is not starting out very great. This cold has really been a bad one. I just saw you won a giveaway at The Pickledish Patch and wanted to say congrats. Thanks for the get well wishes. I need them. lol
I see in the new JOANN flyer that the Ott lights will be on sale again. I want to get one that sits on the table and has a caddy.
Good things - love that pattern too! And whew - it's good to get the decorations all put away huh (smile)!!
Love the gift cards! A good light is perfect to make your quilting more enjoyable.
Yes, I saw those lights on sale. I sooo want a couple for my space but it will have to wait.
Great purchases, Jocelyn. I have one of those Ott lights and I love it! What I've been up to....I made my very first quilt top...woo hoo! :o) Now I can't wait to make another one.

Congrats on some nice finds. I love my Ott lites. That floor model has come in handy many times.
And I love the look at that new book. I saw that charming house quilt too. Looks like there might be a few nice patterns to try.
Have fun!
Very nice shopping - and organizing. That is what I'm doing - organizing, not shopping.
I saw those lights on sale and it was sooooo tempting. I think Welcome to the Neighborhood will be awesome.
That's a great deal on an Ott. On sale and 20%off...I have a table one, but love the one you have that sits on the floor.
I have added that book to my wish list. Looking forward to seeing your house quilt. I love the one on the cover too.
I'm still organizing my sewing room after the move. I see you have a Bernina too. Love mine.
I'm going to Joanns today to get a spool rack with a coupon. Gotta love those coupons.
I have that OttLite too. Love it! The pattern in Pat's book is super cute. It is definitely on my wish list to make someday. Can't wait to see yours.

That quilt is a good way to start--I look forward to seeing your version.
Good purchase! That's my favorite light!! I was saving my 20% off too for after Christmas and then I misplaced it. I was so disappointed, I had to settle for a 10% off coupon.
