My ufo's

It has been quite a few days since I have posted. We are in the process of painting and picking out new carpet so this will all be done before making the big move. I never knew there were so many shades of beige :-) But I have so enjoyed reading all of the sweet comments from last weeks posts. You all are a great bunch of gals, and I am so blessed to know each one of you.

I have been packing. And in the process I've come across some ufo's that were down in the bottom of the quilting stacks. It's funny how our tastes and color preferences change. But I still love some of these patterns. You know I've always heard that styles and colors come back full circle.

Maybe one day I will get these quilted and finished.

On another note, I have changed my comments to be moderated as there seems to be more and more spammy comments hitting my blog pages. So for now, I will moderate the comments. Hopefully that will deter some of these folks that have nothing better to do.

How was your weekend? I'd love to hear what is going on in your quilting world. I've been reading blogs and trying to respond to anyone who comments on my posts. I love to hear from you.

Take care and have a happy quilty day.

Lovely UFO's you brought out Mary. I just cut out a baptismal gown for my granddaughter. I have less than three weeks, so I'd better get going.
I also updated my blogger account to require moderation for the same reason. Annoying isn't it?

Nice UFO's~ I have some too. ;-) It is a drawback to having to pack up and move for me... when I get unpacked~ I start new things and forget about the old. LOL One of these days though... ;-) Have fun decorating your new home!

Nice UFOs! I love that second one! I think I'd have to applique some flowers in those white squares though. That's just too much open space for me! LOL

KInd of like finding presents the second time around. Your found UFOs are lovely. I hope the packing is going smooth..can't say that I envy you that part but the result in your new home will make it very worthwhile. I need to pretend I'm moving and just clean out stuff!
I love the pumpkin quilt top :-)

Love your quilt tops-they are all beautiful and hopefully once you are moved you'll get to work on them. I also had to use comment moderator because of some spam but it works well-no more problems. Have a great day.

Just think when you get in your new house you will be able to get organized and get all those quilts done! Spam in the email seems to be getting really bad too.

So pretty! Love the first one, but I love anything with blues in it. The pumpkins are adorable too.

Wad hot and humid here, so I hit a couple of garage sales then worked on a quilt for my FIL. Finished sewing the blocks together for the final row tonight, just have to get DH to help me with the layout.

Pretty pretty!!!

I remember picking out carpet for our new house - and I could not believe the shades of beige - it was hard - but fortunately we got one that looks great. Or maybe they all would, when not up against all the other samples.

What a find! It's like having new quilts, isn't it? Maybe I should pretend I'm moving, too, and see what I can unearth that might need attention. Then again, it'd probably just throw me headlong into a depression, seeing how much "stuff" I have . . . I hear you on the "beige" thing. When I picked out new "beige" for our bedroom, I got it home and it was so similar to what was already there, it was like I didn't even do anything -- crazy! And do you realize how many shades of WHITE there are? That's what gets me!

It never ceases to amaze me how we have more ufo's than finishes, I know that's true for myself. Oh well I don't think the quilt police will be visiting so I don't really mind. Yours are very pretty and I'm sure one day you'll get them finished. How exciting all the planing, picking of colors and decision making that's ahead of you.
We spent our weekend buying a new car for me, so that I can find a job, which is rather hard to do when there's only one means of transport in the household.

Nice to rediscover those quilt tops. It's been really warm here (for UK) and so not got much sewing done but trying to keep up with the garden (impossible) and keep cool.

How exciting for you! I love moving to a new house and getting to make all kinds of wonderful choices. And, believe it or not, I love packing too. It's a great opportunity to "shed" some unwanted items and it's always great fun to unpack and decide where each item should go in the new house. You've certainly got some lovely UFOs!!
