As I was gathering material for backing of the baby quilt, I found two (TWO) more baby quilts that I had started and never finished.
This second one is made from baby flannel, and I'm not sure it will quilt up very well. Any suggestions on how to stabilize it?

Try using a poly batting and don't over-quilt it. The quilt will sort of plump up in the quilted areas. It will be softer and cozier than if you use cotton. OR use a really thin batt (Quilter's Dream Request) and an overall quilting design.
Spray baste. I like Thermo Web's Spray-N-Bond (purple can). It doesn't gum up my needle, and it washes out. It's great for all the baby quilts I quilt that have Cuddle Minkee on the back (known for shifting unless spray basted). I've never had a pucker yet with this product. Let the spray baste dry (about 30 minutes) before using it on the 3rd layer. Then wait another 30 minutes before you start quilting. I spray in sections. That way, if the fabric isn't the way I want it to sit (puckers, etc) then I can reposition it easily. DO put sheet or something under everything to catch the overspray. I do this on my dining room table (it doesn't stink). I can spray baste 1-2 baby quilts with one can. You can get it at Walmart (much cheaper than Joann's who raise the price).
Cute baby quilts. But the title did make me pause this morning (before my first cup of coffee). I was about to congratulate you! LOL!
To stabilize the flannel one put Pellon on the back?
