I have always thought Bonnie Hunter is a genius. She can make more quilts with scraps than anybody else I know.
So what do you do when you find a stack of cut triangles?
You sew them of course.
Nice pile. Now I know I am not as creative as Bonnie, but I am going to figure out a pattern to use these 40 half square triangles. Here is a YouTube featuring seven different blocks to use bonus half square triangles.

Also a big Bonnie fan so I know how you feel! I have one of those 12 square inch storage boxes stuffed with bonus triangles and HST squares. My ultimate dream is to make the "All Together Now" quilt (originally in a Fons and Porter magazine but available as a pattern from Quilting Daily). It is made up of oodles of HSTs of all sizes.
However for a quicker donation quilt, I also have a note about a favorite scrappy quilter I follow at the Sane, Crazy and Crumbly blog who made a quilt called "Confetti" with bonus triangles "sprinkled" across a solid background.
Those HSTs also make great scrappy borders in quilts. Added to the ideas in the video you shared, there are so many ways to use them!
I too am a Bonnie "fan!" I look forward to seeing what you do with your 40HSTs. . .will you add more HSTs? . . .will you sprinkle them about?. . .will you turn them into pinwheels?. . .what will they become? That is the fun of playing with scraps!
All of us Bonnie fans probably play with HSTs more than most. I'm sure you'll figure out something lovely.
I also am a Bonnie Hunter fan and yes, she loves playing with her scraps. The smaller the better in her view! Lol! Good luck with whatever you decide to make with your HSTs. I'm sure you'll come up with something wonderful!
