Today is my day to share a Cookie goodie. Thank you Carol (Just Let Me Quilt) for hosting this blog hop once again. It is so fun to be a part of this event.
A few years ago I made these cute little snowmen for the children of some friends. They were fun and easy. There is a Hershey bar wrapped under the snowman. I still think this is one of the cutest little gifties for someone whether they are young and old :-)

I hope you will enjoy this cookie bar recipe.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon pumpkin-pie spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon pumpkin-pie spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
2. With a stand or electric mixer, cream butter and sugar on medium-high speed until smooth; beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Add pumpkin puree and mix well. The mixture will look somewhat curdled. Reduce speed to low, and mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
3. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake bars for 35-40 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan and serve.
Enjoy!

Cute snowman project. The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bars sound delicious. Thanks so much for sharing!
OMG, those snowmen with a candy and set of gloves!!! Perfection!! I may need to steal that idea for the residents in our facility!!! Adorable and so bloody clever!!!! Love it!!! And I will be trying your pumpkin bars because I love all things pumpkin. When I make my standard pumpkin loaves, I always have leftover puree so this may be cut in half and utilized for the leftovers!! Thanks for the goodies!

Thanks for sharing the cute gift idea! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Pumpkin and chocolate chips are definitely some of my favorite things so that recipe sounds delish - I know I'll add nuts, too, as they are on the list of my favorite things. The snowmen are adorable. I've seen them online but your the first who's made them; wonderful!
Yeah!
