Happy New Year

Is it me, or is it hard to believe that a decade ago we were all in a huff about turning over to a new century? Y2K was the term to recon with as we left the 1900's behind and plunged forward toward 2000. So many things have happened in this last decade, some for good and some were not so good. Our world has changed. But people still go forward.

As today ushers in the start of a new decade, I wanted to share a little encouragment -

Security for To-day. "For ye shall not go out with haste." As we go forth into the coming year, let it not be in the haste of impetuous, unremembering delight, nor with the flight of impulsive thoughtlessness, but with the patient power of knowing that God will go before us. Our yesterdays present irreparable things to us; it is true that we have lost opportunities which will never return, but God can transform this anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bosom of Christ.

Leave the irreparable past in His hands, and step out into the irresistible future with Him.

Wishing you a wonderful day and a Happy and blessed New Year!

A very Blessed New Year to you! Please tell me why everyone is saying this is a new decade? Doesn't a decade have 10 years in it and not nine?

Nice message. Thanks Jocelyn. I can't believe all the changes since I was a kid and all the new stuff in the last decade has been amazing. I think the world is going a bit too fast now but maybe that's cause I'm slowing down.

Thanks for the reminder to let things fall into God's hands rather than trying to take over ourselves. Now, if I could just remember that on a day to day basis.
