Yes, there is progress being made.
My sweet college son put these frames together.
And now the task of sorting the fabric has fallen on my shoulders ;-D There was room in one corner of the closet to stack two shelves together and as you can see, I've started the process.
I've already found one huge benefit of using the wire shelves. I can SEE my fabric!!!! And I don't have to run out and buy something that I already have (cause I can't find it!!). It's also nice that I can store fabric that I don't use very often in a container on top of the shelving. Like Christmas, Fall or children's fabrics.
It's been like Christmas finding some of the beautiful fabrics that I had previously purchased but were buried deep in the containers.
Thanks for the encouragement to get organized. Next stop -
HAPPY QUILTING!!!

I really like the wire shelves! You will be totally organized in to time :)
Hello! The wire shelves look really good and organised. What a great idea. I think I could do with some of them. I do have shelving but the baskets look very neat.
How fun to find lost treasures!! Nothin' better than petting and folding fabric IMHO :0)
Crispy
I have some of those wire drawer units! What a pain in the kazoo the frames are to put together tho...
You're going to be super organized in NO time!!!
These wire baskets look like they are a much better option than the plastic totes that I am using now!
Where did you get your basket/drawers? I couldn't find them and got a baker's rack. I really like it.. just have to make sure the fabric doesn't tumble off the ends.
Looks great and congrats on the organization!!
That looks so nice and organized!! Wow!! It's also fun to find new "old" things too! :-)
I would also like to know where you got the wire racks...I think they would be much nicer than my plastic containers.
Wow, it looks great! I have all my fabric stash in a plastic container under the trundle bed in the guest room...I hope no one peeks under the bed...LOL
I'm still waiting for the Ohio Star quilt to come back from the quilters, I think this week I should have it, but in the mean time I have been looking at patterns and can't decide what to make next..the problem is I want to make everything I see LOL silly me.
Only if there were more hours in a day.
Happy quilting to you too!
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
I am so impressed!!!!!!
I love being organized. But I find it hard to stay that way. I'm happy to hear that you're falling in love with your stash all over again.
I'm loving your wire racks! Sounds like an excuse to have to make a trip to IKEA soon :)
I see one comment mentioned IKEA...is that where those racks and baskets are from? Awesome way to get organized!
Off the topic, thank you for the verse that is posted today. I really needed to remember that one.

Looks like a great way to stay organized! I can relate to your feelings about "rediscovering" fabric you haven't seen in ages. I've been trying to organize my sewing room and experienced that same "Christmas morning" feeling!
Congrats on getting organized, the wire baskets look great for housing fabrics.
Those shelves are great. I use see through bins, too. I have got to do some organizing work in my sewing room!
Lookin Good! I use plastic boxes but I'm thinkin'I need to use these baskets. I used them in my classroom but had to leave them once I retired. BooHoo! I read your blog almost everyday but don't always comment. I think you're a follower of mine too but if not come on by and visit!
Blessings

Your basket shelving looks great. I've been working on my new sewing space, too. Finished painting today. Might move some things tomorrow. Take care!
Looking good and being able to see the fabric is a real good thing.
I love this kind of wire shelving and yes, it's wonderful to be able to see what you have. Plus they look great! Have fun loading yours all up...I'll bet you still have to go buy some more fabrics! :))
Looks awesome! I do like that you can see what you have...brilliant!
