Happy Cupcakes

My project over the weekend was to piece these cute cupcakes together :-)

Don't they look like they are dancing??

Once this is quilted that will be one Christmas present done.  I so admire Darlene and the ladies who have been doing Christmas Though the Year.  I guess I'm not that disciplined.  When the holidays start to peek around the corner, my needle starts going up and down.
In the meantime, I think I need to come up with a better design wall solution!
The flannel backed tablecloth is just not working :-(

Happy Quilting!

Jocelyn, the flimsy is just darling!! They *do* look like they're dancing!! I'm sorry the flannel backed tablecloth isn't working. :( Mine works really great -- I wonder what the difference is? I hope you have a great day! :)

That's an adorable flimsy, Jocelyn. My flannel backed tablecloth has been up for several years and works wonderfully....I wonder why yours isn't. HMMMM

That turned out just darling! I've procrastinated so long, I'm just not making things for Christmas. I'd drive myself to distraction over it, lol!

Oh this a lovely quilt and it makes me want to make this pattern for my twins, but not for this Christmas.

For your design wall, you can go to a store like Home Depot and pick up a piece of foam insulation and you can use it large or cut it up to smaller pieces. You can then tack a flannel backed table cloth to it and use pins to keep everything attached if your flannel gives away. I have an entire piece on one wall and have cut up another piece into different sizes and the small one I can use by my machine to keep things all tidy as I am assembling blocks.

The purple is great, love the quilt. I should have been seeing all year for Christmas, but now I am starting to scramble to complete everything.

Gorgeous cupcake quilt... the colours are so lovely. What a fabulous Christmas present. Hey... I just found out (posts above) that your name is Jocelyn... so is mine!! It's not a common name over here and I've never met another Jocelyn in all of my 50+ (cough) years. So... HI! :o))
