I've been to the Paducah Quilt Festival twice and enjoyed it each time I went. I was accompanied by friends, which of course made the trip more delightful. I would love to go again, but this year there is a conflict. Has anyone gone to the Quilt shows that have spawned around the country? Did anyone attend the Daytona show?

I attended Daytona. The quilts were wonderful- of course. Very "artsy". The vendors plentiful ... LOTS of machine embroidery stuff - not my thing. I did pick up some wooly hand goodness.
I've only been to the Chicago show, since it's only 40 miles away.
I don't live in the US but was lucky enough to visit and be there at the right time to go to Lancaster. Loved the quilt show, the displays, workshops and vendors. Very much the same format as here in Australia, but of course all different vendors. I prefer the smaller ones. much easier to get around without feeling overwhelmed.
I've never been to a big quilt show, just smaller local ones - not sure I'd want to do all that walking anymore, lol!
