Why Quilts Matter

PBS is about to explore the History, the Art and the Politics of Quilts. Watch this trailer. I was fascinated that our craft is being brought into a new light.

Why Quilts Matter You’ll need to check your PBS schedule for Fall 2011 to find out when this series will be available in your area.

This series looks fantastic! Can't wait for the DVD to come out - we don't have cable - probably catch some of it online. Sounds like so many of my favorite subjects rolled into one - art, history, fiber and textiles, cozy quilts, sewing, creativity, storytelling . . .

Marvelous!
Joy!

I watched the trailer - it is fascinating. I have only begun making quilts (my first one is at the binding stage.) Just a FYI - you can buy the DVD now. At the site linked here use the tab at the top of the page to "Buy It Now". I am thinking that I would like to have this myself.
Blessings,
Patti
