So today I am hosting a giveaway and I'd love for you to sign up. What am I giving away??
I was asked to review Jennifer Chiaverini's new book "The Wedding Quilt" and was given a copy to share with you. Now if you have never read any of the Elm Creek Quilts novels, this is the book for you. Let me tell you why. This book has a great story line, but it also interweaves the history of the Elm Creek Quilters and many of the previous stories are recapped throughout. It doesn't leave you guessing as to who is who, and what is what. I've read several in the series, but I've missed some, so I was able to catch up and keep going as the story unravels through the history of the Quilters. There is also a surprise at the
I am including a tote that I made for you to use as a book bag, or whatever you want. Just leave a comment on this post. Although it's not a requirement for entry, I would really love to know why you blog. I will close the giveaway in a week. Please be sure that I have a way to contact you if you are the winner.
Thanks so much for stopping by. And if you are a new visitor, I hope you will come back again.
Happy Quilting!

My blog is a driving force behind my creativity. If I know I could share something and possibly inspire someone else, I will kick it in gear and get it done! That's why I blog! Thanks for the giveaway!
I don't blog, but I read a LOT of them. I've read most of the books in the series too, but not this one. Thanks to all of you for the Hop and all of the great give aways.
I like blogging for two reasons, I like sharing what i do and also i like reading what everyone else is doing
Please count me in!
Love the giveaway...lots of fun...I love being inspired by all the creativeness in blogs...from beautiful pictures to beautiful stitching...
I started my blog after some gentle persuasion from another blogger. I never had any intention of doing one, but now I am so glad I did. I have made so many friends and I would tell anyone who hasn't got one to go a head ..... it's such good fun!
I love giveaways too. And I really like to take part in yours. I blog because it is a good way of keeping contact with my quilting friends. And I also can show what I make to my family, as all of them live a long way from me. Happy weekend!
Thanks for this giveaway! I started blogging because I thought it would be a nice way to keep record of all the things I make while showing them and sharing tips at the same time. I discovered a whole world after this and I love it. I don't have as much time as I used to but hopefully I'll never stop!
What a fun giveaway. I have only read one of her books before and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the chance
Love that tote! I blog to be inspired, and to share my creativity with others. Thanks for the giveaway! :0)
I blog because my family doesn't really appreciate my homemade things! I need the kudos!!! lol
I love reading blogs because it makes me feel like I belong to a large creative group. Thanks for the chance to win such a great gift.
I started my blog to help me get motivated to craft more and boy has that worked! I also like to blog to inspire others to try something new and I can't forget to mention all the wonderful feedback I get from other bloggers as well as visiting their blogs for inspiration :) Barb.
I was blogging but haven't for months-too busy reading everyone else's blogs! Great Giveaway! Thanks!
My blog is a brand new one but I started it to share all my creativity and I love reading everyone's blog to get ideas !!
Thanks for this giveaway, that little bag is so cute !
I have read all of Jennifer Chiaverini's books. I would love to win this new book of hers and the lovely tote. Thanks for the giveaway.
Love the little bag! I first began to blog because I have too much information running around in my head when I go to bed...honestly!! I write most of my blogs in my head at night then post them in the morning. Now, I blog because I love all the quilters I meet!
I started my blog because I wanted to learn more computer skills. But I met an entire new community, made friends, get inspiration, and and also use mine as my scrapbook.
I am new to your blog and will be back. Please enter me in your giveaway. I have just started reading the elm creek books and love them
i'm more an observer in the blog world. i guess i just don't have a lot to say! but i love jennifer chiaverini's books!
I've never read any of the quilters books out there. I would love to, though. =)
I started my quilting blog (I have two blogs) so I could keep track of what I was making and what I wanted to make. Having a central theme (quilting/sewing) makes it much easier to blog. My first blog, is more of a family, random thoughts blog and it's much harder to blog on that one, but I hate to let it go.
Thanks for the giveaway!!
What a pretty tote! And I love the novels as I'm working my way through the series now...a great gift! I haven't started a blog...just a lurker! Thanks for what you do!!
Linda A.
I have decided that I blog for myself to keep a record of my projects and 'goings on' in my life. I tend to forget about projects and love to look back and see what I did and more importantly, when. I love the Elm Creek series, but haven't read this one.
I would love to win the book and tote bag. I have read all the previous books in the series. I blog because I want to share my quilt projects with friends.
Woohoo! That book sounds great, and that tote is wonderful! Thanks for the chance!
I love a fantastic read and the tote is lovely. Please add my name for the chance to win.
Carolyn
I love her books, and patiently await the newest every time! Thanks for a chance to win! Lizzie
what a great giveaway.
i'm not a new reader, but hardly comment. i have you on my sidebar.
thanks for the chance!niki
I would love a chance to win your wonderful give away ! THANKS :-D
Love the gifties you're giving away!!!. I haven't blog in a long time because I'm still having some issues, but I'll come back soon, I love to share with all what's inside my head while blogging, my life, projects, points of views..., when you get comments they brighten our days, and I really like that :)
I started blogging like so man others just to show my stuff and keep track of what I am making.
but honestly now I do it for the fun folks I meet. Really I have gone to a retreat with folks I only ever met on blogs, gone to a blog friends house, exchanged blocks, made quilts to donate to charity, traveled and laughed with joy.....I even have a trip planned in the Spring to meet up with some bloggers at a Gee's Bend retreat. Now is that fun or what?
thanks so much for the chance to win :0)
(Oh yeah bloggers have such generous giveaways too)
Happy Sewing and Merry Christmas,
Kim
I blog to share my quilting and to meet new friends. Being a young quilter in a rural area, there were very few with similar interests. Blogging opened up a whole new world of young quilters to me. I guess now, 7 years later, we're middle aged quilters, but who's counting. I just enjoy the social interaction of sharing and visiting other blogs.
What a cute bag, and I don't have this book yet. I've read most of her books. I blog mainly to keep a record of my 'doings' and to (hopefully) encourage others. Thanks for the giveaway!
I started blogging so that I wasn't anonymous in blogworld. I have enjoyed so many lovely posts by bloggers and wanted to have a way to join in. Just had a giveaway of this same book...loved it!... and would love to enjoy it again along with that sweet book bag :-) Love your blog posts! and thanks for hosting a giveaway.
Love the bag and the book. Thanks for a chance to win. I have been a follower for a while and love checking in on your blog often. Hugs
Thanks for putting my name in your hat. :o) What a cute bag and your book is fabulous!! I have not read that one yet.
Have a nice weekend. hugs. Trish
I haven't read any of the Elm Creek books - in fact I haven't seen them in the UK!
Count me in please!
The tote is gorgeous and I would love to read this book! Thanks for the chance :)
I blog because it's a way of "scrapbooking" about my quilting. I also blog because I love interacting with the community. :)
I blog because I love to share what I learn and be inspired by others. Blogging has kept me motivated to keep sewing and creating new things.
I love your little bag so much... super cute... and a good book is always a nice "retreat". I was so happy that blogging came into my life. I had always worked with the public but then changed to a desk job... where I have NOBODY to talk to, also, I live in a small town and it has a small quilting community. So bloggers and better yet quilters... Yes, it is heaven to me!
OH...what a wonderful giveaway, I love the Elm Creek Quilt books and this is the only one I haven't read yet. The bag is wonderful. Thanks so much for a chance. As for blogging, I don't have a blog, but I check lots of blogs daily including yours because of the delightful people I meet and to see the beautiful projects everyone is working on. Big hugs...
I follow blogs to see their beautiful projects and improve my quilting skills.I blog to show and share my projects.
The bag is lovely. Thanks for the chance.
Love the bag and book.
Would love to win this book! Love your blog. Happy Holidays
Thanks for the great giveaway! I love to see what others have created on their blogs. Merry Christmas!
I'm not a blogger but I read a LOT of them. It is so interesting to see what people are doing, and making, and to read about their lives.
I've never read any of the Elm Creek Quilters books, but I'd love to be entered in to win this one. Thank you for the giveaway!
I started blogging as a way to chronicle my quilting. Now I blog to share my life with other bloggers. I have made so many great friends through blogging. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!
I don't blog, either, but love to read other blogs they give out great information and help me when i'm stuck for ideas. I'm also and avid reader but do not recall ever coming across this series before, would love to start reading it.
I love sharing what I do ... and love getting inspired by what others are doing (especially quilters).
I've read all the other Elm Creek Quilters books and signed up on the waiting list at our little library ... but I've been waiting for what seems like forever. I'm anxious to read that book ... so I hope I win! ;-)
I would love to win this book since I am slowly making my way through the series!
I don't blog, but I love to read blogs for inspiration and insight into different ways of quilting.
Sandy A
I am quite new at blogging, and do enjoy it. Your blog is one of the ones that I follow, I am learning alot from all you bloggers, but still have lots to learn. Your bag is lovely!
What a fantastic giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win. ;o) I think I blog mainly as a way to share with other people who have the same interests as I have. I get inspired by others and hope that maybe I can inspire them as well. It's also a great way to keep track of all your quilting projects!
I started my blogs as a creative outlet. I love the designing aspect of the blog itself..also love to share pictures and insights, etc.
I do enjoy Jennnifer Chiavarini's books and I love the tote you made. For me, blogging was started as a friend who also quilts (and has since become my quilting partner) encouraged me to start...even though I thought it was hard and I'd not be able to do it. I have enjoyed it a lot and have "met" a lot of nice quilters...and even got to meet several of them in person now (a few years after I started my blog). It is a good way to show projects I've made and also to get help and advice, when needed, from others who understand my questions!
I wanted to blog because I moved away from all my friends and family for my job!
I started to blog to let my kids know what I was up to. As a result, I have made new friends and I find it relaxing (not sure why).
I mostly blog to keep track of what I've been doing, though it's nice to think that other people like to read what I write too :)
I would love to win - I've been hearing about those Elm Creek books everywhere and I'm intrigued. :)
I don't blog, but I follow over 50 of you that do. I learn so much, and also just enjoy the visiting. Visiting a blog is like opening a letter from a friend.
I love Jennifers books. Please count me in.
I have read many of the Elm Creek quiters books and would love to win this one.
Since I feel my life is not exciting enough to write about, I do not have a blog, but thoroughly enjoy reading many blogs. They provide much inspiration n ideas, n motivates me too.
Lovely bag, and the book series is great too. Thanks for the chance
I blog because it's fun. I love connecting with folks. It's a wonderful way to make additional friends.
I blog because I love to write, and I love the new friends that I've "met" in this quilting community! I've seen first-hand that quilters have the biggest hearts around! Thanks for the chance to win!
I have never read one of her books. I know!
Great bag to go with the book.
I blog because I just love to share what I love and I have made some new friends along the way.
I blog because I lovecommunicating with so many people from all over the world. And I follow you.
I love your tote bag & have read good reviews for this book. Thanks for such a lovely giveaway.
Love her novels -- and love the tote! I am the Queen of Flat -- cannot make anything that is NOT flat -- so that tote is a wonderfully tempting prize. Fingers are crossed...
I love to share what I sew!
I blog mostly to get creative inspiration. I love seeing what others are working on and am thrilled when my work inspires others. An unexpected bonus is the support I've had from quilters around the world.
Oh, the best prize so far! Love those books. I'm from Aust so if this is not open to international bloggers please just leave me out. Blogging makes me more productive, means I use up some of what I buy & has made me some gorgeous friends. It's a winderful past time. Tracee xx
I blog because it is fun. I love to share what I make and get inspriration from others. I have made some awesome quilt friends too. Thanks for this giveaway!
I blog because it helps me connect with others who love quilting. Thanks, so much, for offering this neat giveaway.
Why do I blog? Hmmm... I started blogging to share my paintings and some of the process of creating them.
Then I started quilting in 2008. I suddenly found quilt blogs. I found a delightful community of bloggers who are so giving and sharing, I wanted to be a part of that.
Thanks for this great giveaway! I've read some of Jennifer Chiaverini's books, I really enjoy her stories. To me blogging means to share and to be in touch with other quilters, it is a lovely world!
I love the Elm Creek books and would love a chance to win the new one and your lovely tote.

Thank you for the chance in your giveaway. Your tote is so pretty, and I LOVE to read!
I love to read quilt related novels and your tote bag is adorable. Why I blog? Well, actually it keeps me thinking about the quilting and gives me something to look forward to 2-3 times per month. Otherwise, my life's joys are my children and not much else!
I love your tote. I started a blog to keep track of my life, but unfortunately I haven't been doing such a good job at it.
What a lovely giveaway! I have a blog but I am sorry to say it has been neglected because I am too busy reading everyone else's blogs. Not enough hours in the day-LOL.
Have a Merry Xmas! Sandy. :)
I keep thinking I'm going to get the Elmm Creek series but when I get to the library I leave my brain at home and can't remember the books or audiobooks I wanted to get. I blog because I enjoy writing and because I have met so many great quilters from around the globe through my blog.
I was a lurker for a long time and my friends kept asking when I was going to start writing my own blog. I was a little intimidated by the process but once I got the hang of it I have really enjoyed it. I don't post as often as I should -- sometimes life just gets in the way..
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna

Love the tote! You can never have too many bags. I don't blog, but have considered it. It would be a quilting blog of course, I'd call it, "What was I THINKING!" lol! Don't you have a What Was I Thinking moment with each quilt? You push past it, and end up with something wonderful.
Love that beautiful bag. I have never read any of Jennifer's novels. I enjoy reading blogs more than I enjoy blogging. I am a taker; I should give back. I vow to try harder to keep my blog updated and interesting.
I have patterns from Jennifer but have not read a novel by her - yet.
A copy of her book is a cherished treasure and a homemade tote to carry that book around is to die for. This is a gift to make some quilter really happy and only you can make that happen. Thank you.
Merry Christmas

Long time follow here! Cute tote bag! I blog to document life. When I started blogging it was about school, then planning a wedding, quilting, and now it's about quilting and my new daughter when I get chance to update. I also love the people I met along the way.
what a wonderful gift
Thanks for the giveaway. I've missed part of this book series too. I don't blog yet, but I really enjoy reading them.
I am very new at blogging! I started about a year or so ago but maybe 1 or 2 posts a year. I was more involved in moderating an online quilting group called Quilters Passion on Eons. This summer I joined the Charlotte Modern Quilt Guild and the gal who started it was real big on blogging. She even went to a retreat to learn more about it. That really made me curious and so I have plunged in quickly formatting my profile page. Now I just want to make new quilting friends, learn what the latest and greatest is in the world of quilting and share with others what I am doing. It's just fun! and I am enjoying my second childhood here. Now I am experiencing the huge give away party. I have been tantalized and can hardly believe that I have spend so much time on my computer visiting all these wonderful quilters' blogs. Oh by the way the book and bag are such nice gifts. I have read all of Jennifer Chiaverini'a books thus far and have met her in person when she visited the Charlotte Quilters Guild a couple years ago. She signed one of my books. Well thank you for allowing me to share.
I've read the first couple of Elm Creek books, they were great! I don't have a blog myself, but I am an avid participant in blog land. I have so enjoyed connecting with people, sharing work, doing swaps and sometimes just reading and enjoying others.
Oh I love the Elm Creek series. I started blogging to track my progress on a challenging quilt I was making but I continue to blog because of all the inspiration I find and all the wonderful quilters around the world that I have met! Thanks!
I would love to win this book, love the elm creek series. I don't blog..never got into it, but it looks like fun.

Hello,
I started blogging so my family who live overseas could see what I am up to.
Happy days.
Bev.xoxo
I blog to have an outlet for where to show people "what" I do. Quilting is not an art that is not practiced a lot any more. Although sense I have started blogging I have found many great quilting blogs like this one.
I blog to get new ideas. Everyone is so creative. Thanks for the chance.
I love your bag.thanks for such a lovely giveaway.
I blog because I love to meet new people, share ideas and the net makes the world so small. I can reach anyone with the touch of my fingers.
I blog for me. It keeps me on track with all of my projects. I like going back through them sometimes to see my thoughts. Thanks for the giveaway. I love your blog.
Have just discovered your blog. It is wonderful. Would love to have the book.
I have really enjoyed looking at your blog and glad you have chosen to participate in the BH! Please include me in the drawing!
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity--I've read most of the other books in the series but not that one, and it's a lovely tote! I blog because I enjoy writing and I love the conversations that occur when folks leave comments. I consider my blog and my podcast both conversations with lots of talented quilters who can all teach one another--and are fun to hang out with, to boot!

Thats a beautiful tote. Please count me in!
Love your give-a-way...so generous of you...that's why I blog...other quilters are so generous with their ideas, thoughts, advice and support...I don't get to write in my blog as much as I would like...I am too busy reading everyone elses blog. Happy Holidays.
Joyce Meyer, TV evangelist does this toy soldier type walk and repeats "What about me, what about me...." I'd like to shout it from the roof top this morning. Your gift idea is wonderful!!! Merry Christmas! I'm a new follower, who loves to be encouraged to be creative!

I blog so others can know what I have been up to. It is also a way of keeping my typing skills, which I learned in High School in 1956.
I don't blog, yet. I read quilting blogs way, way, too much. I've found that now I need reading glasses. So I can keep up to date on my favorites. I've learned so much from blogs, tutorials, patterns, lots of humor and that I'm not alone in my obsession. ;->
I blog to keep my family across the miles up to date. Love the chance to win. thank you.
I started blogging so my mother could see what I was doing. I enjoy the different creative experience it provides.
I don't know how to blog yet. But love Jennifer's books. Have several of them in my library. Awesome prize. Thanks.
I haven't started a blog, but I read alot of blogs. They have opened my world to all those wonderful creative people who love to sew. Thanks for the giveaway. I haven't read these books but would love to.
I would love to win one of the books in the Elm Creek series and the bookbag too. I love to read and have not read any of the books. Sounds very interesting. Oh and I blog because I enjoy sharing my art and also because I enjoy creative writing. Although sometimes I think I am talking to walls. Anyway it's fun and enjoy reading what others are doing.
I don't have a blog of my own but I spend alot of time reading everyone elses. I haven't read any of these books but would be excited to start.

That tote is so sweet! Love it! the book sounds wonderful, thanks for the chance at a great prize!
I started blogging before Facebook, so it was a way to share photos of my work and other photos with friends near and far. I'm also currently using the blag as an aid in the search for 4 missing quilts, 2 of mine and 2 that belong to Sarah Ann Smith of Maine.
Thanks for the generous giveaway and a chance to win!
I don't blog however I feel that I have met so many new friends in reading the blogs that I do. I have also learned so much.
I'd love to read The Wedding Quilt. I just made one for my son and daughter-in-love. It has 100 handwritten and signed blocks with words of wisdom from all of our friends. Sashing in 1 inch with cornerstones and bound top and bottom with a row of hearts. :)
Love the colors you used on the bag.
I hope you have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win such a nice giveaway.

What a delightful bag and it would be a nice chance to sit a put my feet up and read an interesting novel and I could share it with my Mum..a budding quilter, too. My sister recently gave us a copy of the movie, How to make an American Quilt to encourage our interest which was a nice experience.
What a gorgeous bag and would love to have the book. Thanks so much for the offer.
I blog so I have a outlet for my creativity and enjoy posting. lnb1191(at)aol(dot)com
