How many letters do you really need???

Okay, tell me I am not the only one. But is Word Verification driving you to distraction!!! I'm learning how to read the funny letters, but is it really necessary to have these foreign characters just to leave a comment?? Madame Samm has some great information if you want to turn yours off. Check it out at Sew I Quilt.

And thank you for all of your comments yesterday. It was fun participating in a one day giveaway. So who won my Leap Day Giveaway?? The Random generator picked Rhonda D. From Ozark Country Stitchin'. Rhonda, please contact me with your mailing info. I do not see a way to contact you, but you did sign up for email updates. If I don't hear back from you by Saturday, I will draw a new winner.

Now be sure to check out Pat Sloan's blog as she and Bonnie Hunter are having a very fun giveaway.

Have a great day! Spring is coming :-)

It did drive me crazy at first. But, I seem to be getting the hang of it.

It drives me bonkers. I'm so pleased that several of my favorite bloggers have done away with it! :)

I like the "prove you're not a robot" or something because I always, when I have to interpret them and type, think "I wish I was".

But in blogs like yours it's worth to go through the trouble.

Yes, Spring is coming. Have a great day too.

Maybe I'm getting better at deciphering the "code", but it's still such an unnecessary step - a wait of my time (even though I keep adding blogs to follow, I keep cutting back on my time on the computer). I did send a private email to some of my more favorite blogs ... and they graciously removed their word verification.

You are not the only one who hates word verification!!! Me too!!...I never turned it on. NOw I am glad. Hugs to you.

I removed the word verification from my blog and after I disabled "anonymous" comments I haven't had a single spam post!

Commenting really is so much easier without having to go through the word verification process. I wish more bloggers would remove it!

I turned it off on my blog. What a pain. I usually had to type in more letters than I typed in the comment.

Did away with mine!!!!

sometimes those word verifications are longer than my comments. I think that is why my hands hurt! lol

I hate them. I've turned mine off.

Hi there, Going to check out your friends blogs too but yes the word verification is driving me crazy. I originally put mine up because of spam but just took it off the other day because it is so hard to read. Of course, I'm getting some spam again but it is easy to delete. Have a great evening.

I hate word verification! Especially difficult on my iPad.

thanks for the heads up. I will go check it out. Filling out two words now has crossed the line. I also found out that you can shut off the new view for photos. When you click on them now they don't get larger. I like the old format better.

I do like to not have to do word verification - because it leaves me more time to visit more blogs. ;)

It's great hearing from you. Hope all is well with you.

Yep, drives me nuts - I only try one time, and if I get it wrong, I just don't leave a comment. Congrats to Rhonda!

I removed word verification from my blog and there have been a few times when I wanted to comment and didn't because I didn't want to waste time with WV. The old one wasn't too bad. Makes you wonder how many of those robots are commenting on blogs.
