Last year I found these orphan blocks at a local Quilt show.
I've never made a Sunbonnet Sue before, so I thought it would be fun to finish these up and make into a small quilt.
The blocks were easy to machine applique (I even changed a couple of the bonnets to coordinate better).
Have you ever worked on orphan blocks that were made by someone else?

I've made quilts from plenty of orphan blocks, only from others if it was from a swap. these look cute
I've seen a similar pattern in my mothers quilts. Your's are adorable...
I've never worked on any orphan blocks, but how wonderful that these are going to become a quilt! Who wants to forever be an orphan!
Your blocks are adorable!Happy sewing.
I've done it twice now, and while it's very strange to work with someone else's blocks, it's lovely to know they're being made into something instead of just sitting on a shelf somewhere! :0)
Your orphans will finially have their place in a little quilt. They look like a newer version of the little girl with a shorter dress and different posture. They are so cute.
I love working on orphans! It presents a whole new challenge. Those are really sweet "Sue" blocks.
I have worked on quite a few orphans; hand-me-downs from my mentor and orphans I bought at shows. They do offer a new challenge and sometimes, they are more trouble than they are worth to finish. There's often a reason they didn't get finished. But, if you can finish one, there is great satisfaction. Lane
I have bought a few that I haven't done anything with. This is going to make a cute quilt!
No, I haven't. But that sounds kind of fun!
Oh...I want this pattern!!! Where did you get it~ ♥♥♥
Thank you so much for the nice comment on my studio! I am so excited you can't imagine!!!!
