Teacup Tuesday

Shabby, Pink and Pretty invited me to participate in Teacup Tuesday. It has been fun collecting teacups over the years. Although some are not fancy teacups, I have a nice collection of teacups that have special meaning to me.

Today for my first teacup, I wanted to share one that is very special. It is a teacup that my mother in love painted for me for my birthday a couple of years ago.

My mother in love has been a china painter for many years, and although her vision and dexterity are not what they used to be, she still enjoys putting some paint on plain white china.

I am showing you the bottom of the teacup because she signed it Mama :-)

Put on a pot of water and make yourself a cup of tea. There is nothing more peaceful then to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book.

Wishing you a wonderfilled day.

Oh how lovely, I have a great great aunt that did china painting too and am lucky to have a few pieces. Ya know, a cup of tea sounds wonderful, I think I'll go turn the kettle on.

Hi Jocelyn,

I'm thrilled that you've joined me for "Teacup Tuesdays". It's so fun to see all the different styles and patterns of teacups that other people collect. You are very lucky to have been gifted with such a beautiful handpainted teacup. It's just beautiful and it will be something for you to treasure always.

Take care and have a great week. Hope to see you again next Tuesday!!
