Last night I decided to knit a cotton dish cloth. I am a beginner
knitter, so I watched a video on how to increase and decrease.
Here is the works in progress :-)
I love that I can pick this up and work on it in short bursts of time. What are you working on today??

Hurray for a quilter who knits!
I love cotton dish cloths like that. I can't knit or crochet, so, I have to find them at craft events. Not many available.
Knitted dishcloths are the greatest. Luckily, I have a friend who knits and she generously gifts them for no particular reason. I can also purchase them from her for gifts, or supply her with cotton yarn and she will give me one or two. Love a friend who knits!
I love to make these and they are the only kind I'll use to do the dishes! I meet my daughter to pick up the grands for the day while she works and can usually get a few rows done while waiting for her to arrive.
You are doing a great job. It is the easiest pattern to do. Yes, something that doesn't really need to be counted.
I'd knitted MANY years ago but remembered very little. A couple of years ago, I also watched videos and started on a dishcloth - the pattern looks the same. I'm hooked! Those dishcloths are the best and I always grab a knitted one as much as I can. I'm adventurous now and would like to find a few new patterns just to shake it up a bit. Congrats on picking up the needles.
Looking at your photo, I never would have known that you are a new knitter. Well done!!
It is always good to try something new. Looks great to me!
