Thirty years ago, our last child was born. A boy. Ten years younger than our first born girl, and seven than our middle son.
Having two boys was a challenge for me. I grew up without a father, and having no brothers, was totally clueless about the nature of the male species. So when these little boys came into our family, I had no idea what I was in for.
Things start our small. Like climbing and making mud pies in the sand box.
But before I knew it, things escalated.
They go from this...
...to this
My memory serves me when my middle son decided that he would take his Dad's golf clubs and hit a few. His one mean stroke sailed through the air, and went right through my bedroom window.
Yes, boys. They are a breed of their own.
But life sure would be dull without them.

There is never a dull moment with boys mine are 20 months apart and now 35 and almost 37. The youngest boy now has twin daughters almost 6 months old.
Happy mother’s day
I have 2 sons, also. They are a little over 3 years apart in age. The oldest is still at home, but the youngest has given me 3 grandkids (one just 2 weeks old).
I am the mother of two boys and 6 grandsons. It is what I would choose were I given the choice. Boys are wonderful. When I taught school, I decided I really preferred boys to girls, though I tried hard not to show it. I still enjoy the boys so much and love seeing little boys out in the world. Mine are now in their 50s and they have made wonderful men. They have been a huge blessing in my life. Thanks for the wishes from a mother of boys! Carol in Texas
