It might not have been the best idea to go on a Saturday but by the time we got there we were already committed.
Finally making our way down by the beach. It is so sad to say all these years have brought nothing but construction along the beach.
This is the only view you can see of the beach. When I was a teenager we used to drive over to Clearwater beach. You could park right at the beach and see for miles. Now all you see is condos!
But our main purpose was to eat!
And let me tell you, it was well worth the drive!

I also fondly remember beach visits where driving on the road near a beach one could easily see the sand and water from miles. Now the west coast is also packed with condos and businesses blocking such views. But how nice you could still enjoy a yummy meal. I do so love fresh seafood!
Oh how I miss the beach! Try Anna Maria Island next time...very few buildings over a few stories and so many more lovely beach views! :0)
It was a wonderful place to grow up in, but times change and now,,,,,, not so much.
We really do need to address beach development, especially as ocean levels continue to rise.
Greetings and Salutations! Yes, I noticed that in other areas in Florida. Views are close to nil, not like they used to be. It is called progress. I have a quilt that needs fixing. Do you know how to do that or could refer me to someone. Trouble is I live in Illinois. Happy Halloween.
Not my favorite beach, but visiting friends always request to visit. I prefer quieter beaches without high rises, like those between Clearwater and Madeira.
Happy Halloween!
