Erin Go Baugh

Have you ever noticed that on St. Patrick's Day, everyone seems to be a little bit Irish??  It's pouring down rain here the last couple of days, which makes everything that is green, appear that much greener.

I only have a few of pieces of Jadeite.  I love the cool green colors.

Isn't it perfect for a piping hot cup of tea on St. Patrick's Day?

Growing up, I always celebrated St. Pat's and claimed to be Irish. But, people pointed to my darker skin, brown hair/eyes, and "obvious" Native American features, telling me Irish was the LAST thing I am! I'm 62 now, but 7-10 years ago, I ordered a DNA kit through Ancestry.com. Guess what? I am 9% Irish and not a single drop of Native American! I know the gene pool changes from time to time when new info becomes available, but in all the time I've had my DNA results, the Irish has always been there, but the Native American never has. And, I am THRILLED to celebrate St. Patrick's Day each year. . .because I am Irish!
