Tuesdays Tip

My hubby buys gum in the round containers that fit the beverage holders in the car.

I am always trying to figure out ways to use these little plastic containers.  One way is to keep quarters for the tolls or for my favorite milk shakes ;-)

But recently I started using one for my curved basting pins.

Now I can keep the pins all together, and they shake out pretty easily.

Have you found any creative ways to re-use something for your sewing room??

Love this idea! My sweetie throws all his change on the dashboard. This will work perfectly.

I like this idea, but I keep all of my basting pins open, so I'm not sure how easily they would shake out of the container. I'll give it a try!

Fantastic idea! I will have to save the next large container of gum.

Looks like I'm going to have to run out and get some chewing gum. Love both of these ideas, thanks!

Reduce, reuse and re-purpose!!! Great job :)

I'll e-mail you with other uses that I've heard of.

I put my used rotary cutter blades in them...then I tape up the top to put them in the trash.

Yo uso el mismo envase para los alfileres de gancho!!! Increible coincidencia!

Great recycling idea. But I think you just inspired me to buy gum to have such a handy pin storage holder. Hmm. Will your DH come help me use the gum in the containers I buy?

Great idea! As I read this post I have a very similar gum container right here on my computer desk! (I'm not going to throw it out now! :o) Glad to have found your site via Sew Many Ways...I'll visit often!
