...it must be Thrifty!
A few of my finds this week...
With the lid, and seal, in tact. Love the blue jars. Found this one at the Goodwill for $2. Most antique shops charge way more ;-)
My mother in love used to have glasses like these when I would go to her house for Sunday dinner with the family. She gave me what she had left. These were also found at the Goodwill, and they were in excellent shape. Ran them through the dishwasher with "Lemi-Shine" dishwashing cleaner. That stuff makes anything shine.
A cute little demitasse cup and saucer with very old looking Chinese words on the bottom.
Diana McClun and Laura Nownes, the icons of quilting, who also wrote Quilts, Quilts, and More Quilts!.
Isn't this a cool alphabet pattern??
I was so thrilled when I found this quilt rack at the Goodwill for $4.00. But when I got it home, I realized it is pretty big! It's about 48" long! We don't have a wall that long in our house except down the hallway. So I guess it will eventually hang there.
Have you found any thrifty bargains this week??

My blog-friend Lola found so quilt racks at a thrift store across the river from me where she lives. Great deals. Love the ice-tea glasses. My M-I-L has glasses like that and my Mom's friend did too. Yours look like a pale blue...theirs are clear. Like that blue! Love how the light bounces off of them!. great quilt book and love the Demitasse cup and saucer! Aqua Mason/Ball Jars are my favorite!
I haven't even looked! Where DO you put all this stuff? I'm afraid to find things because I have no place to put anything . . . but I love looking at your goodies, so keep showing them!
Great finds! Love that quilt rack. I haven't look much this year - I need to move in the coming months, and the less I have to cart around the better!

You did TERRIFIC with these thrift shop finds! I"ve not been to the thrift shops lately....somehow I tend not to do that in the summer....do that in the cool-weather months....but....might make an exception soon.
Thank you for the "Welcome" to the land of blogs. I can tell I'm going to enjoy yours as we have something in common....sorta....I go to auctions and that is where I get alot of my stash and I even got a Viking Mega Quilter and Inspira frame from an auction. I don't think it was ever used!!
hugs, Terri
Great finds! I haven't been having any luck at the thrift shops lately, but I love the hunt! :-)
Jocelyn,
Can you take me with you to your next thrifting trip? I have that "Say it with Quilts" book - in fact, my very first quilt is the bunny go around quilt from that book! :)
Blessings!
