Mail call!

My mailman has been busy this week. Everyday is an adventure to walk out to the mailbox and see what's inside :-)

Summer Sadie asked for suggestions for her new Christmas fabrics. And along with that she had a little giveaway. She drew my name, and this is what she sent............

Isn't this the yummiest looking Christmas fabric? I love pink, and these fabrics "Have A Sherri Berry Holiday" (pink and teal) are so refreshing. I just love them.

Then a real surprise came this morning. A sweet friend Sharon, no blog, who lives in Texas sent me this lovely book..........

I love all things tea, and Sandy Clough is such an incredible artist. What a delight to browse through the pages.

Doesn't this picture make you want to gather up your quilting, make a cup of tea and sit on the swing on the front porch??

Let's do it! Who will join me??

Happy quilting :-)

Well I am all for sitting on the front porch with you and having tea. That book was a perfect gift for you. How sweet of her. The fabrics are fabulous.

I just had to share that I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy a few years back at our church's Women's Retreat...she is an amazing woman, so strong is her faith in God. She is an inspiration to all who meet her. Despite losing her eyesight (so dreadful for an artist) her faith remains strong. You may enjoy her website "Sandy's Tea Society"...check it out!

OOOOO....lovely fabrics and what a wonderful book. Thanks for sharing. (Do you have enough seats on the porch for all of us???)

The book looks great, but it is 88 here (and with humidity feels like 95!), so I think I will stay inside with iced tea.
Enjoy your Christmas fabrics, it is getting to be time to use them.

I would but it would have to be at your house. It feels like fall here today, I just came back from the store and it's 58 degrees brrrr.

ooohhh, I love that Sherri Berry fabric!! If you love all things tea, have you checked out Bari J.'s full bloom fabric? The front of your new book reminds me of that line, yummy!

That book looks gorgeous and those fabrics are so sweet, such pretty colours that aren't the traditional red and green. I'm sure you'll have fun finding a project to use them in.
