A day in the park

I almost cannot believe that there are post out there welcoming autumn!!! We are sweltering in the August heat, and may not get much if any relief for several more months. But then again, we do not live in an area that dresses for Autumn. In the deep south we have summer, 3 weeks of winter, one week of spring, and then summer again. Mind you, I am not complaining. I love living here. I cannot imagine the long dreary months of cold and dark days. The welcoming sunshine is very inviting.

So today was a park day. The boys wanted to hang with some of their friends. So we gathered up food, football, volley ball, and sun tan lotion and headed out to the park.

Let the games begin.

It was fun watching the little kids playing nearby.

And these guys just kept punching that ball.....

Great day at the park. Fun times and fun memories. Soon the busyness of school will take over and the free time will come to a halt. So the last dog days of summer will come to an end. Even if the heat doesn't!

Welcome Autumn :-)

That looks like a splendid day! I loved the heat and sunny days when I lived in the south - and I do miss the sun. But now that I have hot flashes, I don't mind winter NEARLY as much, lol!

Those boys make me tired just watching them LOL. Ah to be able to bottle up all that energy for these later years. What a wonderful day you all had.

Oh I agree with the park making fun days and memories. When our children were young, we spent a lot of time at the park. I am anxious for fall to get here as well. It's my favorite season. blessings,Kathleen
